e-Agenda Summit

Mark and I just returned from presenting Croquet at the e-Agenda International Summit, which was organized by Griffith University in Australia and held in San Diego from the 12th-14th of December. Croquet was very warmly received. This was the fifth and final meeting of the e-Agenda global events and activities for 2004. It established a forum for senior executives and decision makers to meet and help further e-education. Leaders from across the education, industry and government sectors discussed various issues impacting the field, including managing organizational change, cross-global education, productivity enhancement, and transforming work and social equity. The e-Agenda idea was conceived in 2002 when a need was identified for a forum where executives, decision makers and leading practitioners could connect with their counterparts to explore the rapidly changing e-learning landscape and to debate and to challenge existing educational paradigms. From this initial concept, e-Agenda has progressively evolved into an annual series of events which are held across the globe and that strive to derive more tangible outcomes and to influence the future direction of e-learning.



I found this meeting to be a highly engaging and rewarding event that offered its participants the opportunity to benefit from the best of year-long discourses, deliberations and activities in progressing e-learning, e-training and e-knowledge. All of the attendees worked to identify and explore collaborative opportunities and to gain new ideas and insights on key issues and agendas from a sectorial and geographic perspective. It was among the most informative and productive of the conferences that I have attended in the past two years. Kudos to its organizers.
