Securing Croquet
If information or services of value are to be exchanged in Croquet space, a security infrastructure must be incorporated into this multi-user peer-to-peer environment. Here at University of Wisconsin-Madison we have taken on special responsibility for defining security-related aspects of the project. We are seeking to leverage existing and emerging IT infrastructure to support the continued development of Croquet (and visa versa). Our team--in cooperation with collaborators lead by Mark McCahill at the University of Minnesota--are actively exploring the applicability of SSL, Shibboleth, SAML and federated identity concepts to our work with Croquet.
